Krista Huettig and I joined in 2015 to start The Country Gardens after quitting our corporate jobs.   Our first members were just a handful of friends and family who thought we were crazy.  Over the years we added more shares and additional sales outlets.  In 2021 we ended our business relationship with 50 weekly shares.  The last few years have been trial and error to find the right fit for myself and my family.  

In 2024 I am focusing almost exclusively on the CSA business.  All u-pick will be for CSA members only and I will not be taking on any new wholesale or restaurant sales.  I will continue to grow canning produce in excess for public sales.

The goal is and has always been to provide the highest quality produce to the community.  I haven’t and will never spray non-organic pesticides on any produce that is sold from our farm.  We are striving to break the mold that farmers are put in by educating our customers about best practices and always being transparent with our choices.  We are always striving to learn more and try new things.  Please never hesitate to ask questions.
